Bring the Mill to You

We provide a mobile sawmilling service throughout Scotland. We’ve worked in woodlands, fields and driveways. We can cut cladding boards, to structural beams and everything in between. Our team is skilled in softwood and hardwood processing, which means we can advise on industry standards and get the most out of your logs.

Pricing

We operate on a daily rate of £400, including one operator. At the moment we are no VAT registered. To provide an accurate quote, we gather as much information about your project as possible. Factors like log stacking, site accessibility, and lifting equipment can significantly impact our daily output. We aim for an average of 150 board meters per day, this can vary based on site conditions. We can also take our Telehandler out with us for an additional £250 per day + low loading costs, this speeds up production significantly.

Our Woodmizer LT20

Our trusty Woodmizer LT20 is a versatile saw with a 6.1-meter bed and a 60cm cutting capacity. With a little ingenuity,we can process almost any log size. This mobile unit is equipped with a diesel engine powering a bandsaw on a carriage. Its integrated lifting forks eliminate the need for additional equipment, making it a self-sufficient operation.

  • Brilliant service, the guys came out with the mobile sawmill and cut a 21ft length of seriously tough (& heavy) reclaimed Jarrah for us. The personalisation was great, it was all cut to what sizes we wanted for our furniture making use.   • After getting some forestry work done we were left with a number of larger logs that we didn't want to just use for firewood. Ben brought his mobile mill round to us for a couple of days and worked through them, making the best use of the different sizes of logs whilst following a cutting list we had. Excess logs were cut into slabs for future projects and we got some advice on how best to store the timber produced. Ben was self-sufficient and hard working but he wouldn't say no to a post lunch coffee if he was offered. We'd definitely have him back.

  • Delighted with Ben's mobile sawmilling service! Had him at my place for 2 days to convert some Douglas Fir logs into as much quarter sawn timber as possible. Ben worked very hard (I had to persuade him to take breaks!), with great accuracy and obvious expertise. I acted as his labourer and tried desperately hard not to get in the way or slow him down too much!...Ben was easy company and happy to share some of his knowledge with me.
